Xylem

Distinct rings, diffuse porous, vessels solitary and in small groups, vessel diameter 15-30µm vessel frequency 200-300 mm2, scalariform perforations with <10 bars, with gum deposits, fibers thick-walled, with small pits, apotracheal parenchyma, ray width 2-3 cells, rays heterocellular with 1 -2 square or upright marginal cells, without crystals.
