Distinct rings in long radial vascular bundles, diffuse and semi-ring porous, vessels in groups, earlywood vessel diameter 20-40µm, fibers absent, simple perforations, round and scalariform intervascular pits, pervasive parenchyma, vascular bundles rayless, very large rays (extrusions from the pith) between the bundles.
