Distinct rings, indistinct remaining vascular bundles, semi-ring porous, vessels in long radial multiples, earlywood vessel diameter 40-70 µm, simple perforations, locally with fine spiral thickenings, fibers with small pits, marginal groups at the external side of each xylem of the vascular bundle, round intervascular pits, parenchyma apotracheal, paratracheal and marginal, vascular bundles often with indistinct secondary rays, very large rays between the bundles. Rays with small and large cells, rays often confluent to the fiber tissue. Keilwuchs.
