Linking processes of the different Earth compartments soil and water in a multi-scale approach is leading my research. For this purpose, my past projects applied a wide range of analytical tools, from solute transport modelling software to spatial analysis tools such as ArcGIS.
Identify to which extent urban soils can contribute to the cooling down of cities is at the heart of my current position at WSL. More specifically, I aim at evaluating the potential of soil water retention to mitigate urban heat island effect. I also collaborate on the CONCUR project and support the team in its research.
