Dealing with natural hazards

As an alpine and densely populated country, Switzerland is particularly vulnerable to natural hazards.

We investigate how the population perceives hazards and what their attitude is to the various protective measures. Furthermore we develop guidelines, risk calculation tools and decision-making aids for safety managers, insurance companies, authorities or other responsible parties so that they can weigh up risks and implement suitable protection strategies.
