How to involve residents in the development of their landscape?

In 1999 we developed a guide designed to help local communities start up and carry out participation-in-development. The guide was based on the findings of our project "need-oriented landscape development" and on experience gained by local communities and institutions in recent years in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. The proposals apply not only to villages, but also to districts in towns.

The guide has been published in the form of a brochure. You will also find a Web-packet that supplements the information provided in the brochure. Numerous case studies, method descriptions and useful addresses supplement the description of the individual stages in the process.
