The upcoming symposium addresses the latest findings on plant responses to climate change. The main focus is on climate-induced changes in the plants' emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and associated feedback mechanisms that impact climate and air quality. Further, the symposium will present new advances in long-term forest monitoring techniques and new tools and experiments that will help to answer pressing questions in the field of biosphere-atmosphere interactions.
