Research interests

My research interests lie in biogeophysical interactions, with a focus on hydrothermal interactions through interfaces between biosphere and atmosphere. With the ongoing postdoc project (EMERGE/2022-2024), I devote to investigate past megadroughts and the response of biosphere. In detail, I am using multiple data streams (e.g., CHELSA) to detect the drought events at high spatial resolution globally. With a speical focus on mountain ecosystems, the response and role of vegetation activities to the droughts will be examined. In addition, I am also interested in creating bio-geo-climate databases using advanced models and methods with a hope to contribute to the science community.
