Economic valuation of growing stock

The aim of the project is the economic valuation of the standing timber stock and its changes. The project "Economic valuation of growing stock" is to be integrated into the realization and implementation phase of the revision project of the national accounts and satellite accounts of the primary sector 2014 (SAKO-1 Rev.2014). This revision project is carried out under the responsibility of the Territory and Environment Section (RU) of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).In advance, a feasibility study was carried out to evaluate the standing wood stock. This is where the method development took place and it was tested with pilot calculations. The Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research WSL actively participated in the pilot study.
