Evaluation survey on attitudes towards tree species and genetic diversity management across Europe (TAMERS)

Dear Survey Participant,

This survey is part of the TAMERS project. TAMERS is a project supported by the Velux Foundation and led by a group of researchers from the Swiss Federal Research Institute WSL (Switzerland), the European Forest Institute EFI, the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (Germany), the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje (North Macedonia), the Finnish Environment Institute SYKE (Finland) and the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment BAFU (Switzerland).

This survey is addressed to foresters (owners and/or managers), forest administration officers, protected area managers, and researchers.

TAMERS aims to understand the perception and acceptance of current and future adaptive forest management actions and the management of forest genetic resources across Europe. Our findings will be communicated to policy makers across Europe through various channels such as the European Forest Institute. Thereby TAMERS aims to bridge the communication gap between the people who have direct contact with forests or hold relevant knowledge about forests and decision makers.

It is a multi-lingual Europe-wide survey, so please bear with us even if you feel that some questions are irrelevant for your country! Also please note that slightly different questions will be asked if you are a researcher. The estimated time to complete the survey is 20 minutes.

The survey responses will be treated as anonymous, and we will only contact you again if you wish to be directly informed about the findings of this study. Thank you for supporting this research by completing the survey!
