WSL has, from the start, been active in all regions in Switzerland. WSL has its headquarters in Birmensdorf, near Zurich, and the WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research SLF in Davos. In addition, there are WSL branch stations in Lausanne, Cadenazzo and Sion, which generate local synergies and enable fruitful contact with local people in the field.
