1. Innovative approaches to enable drought preparedness and wildfire management in Switzerland (5 June 2025, 12:45-14:15)
This Learning lab will present three initiatives/tools/platforms that aim to enhance disaster preparedness for effective response. The Tabletop Drought exercise is one of the formats presented. Find out more.

2. Tabletop Drought: Exercise for Climate-Related Cascading Impacts (7 June 2025, 9:00-12:30)
This Practical Field Visit invites participants to plunge into the Tabletop exercise, tackling a multi-year drought scenario and its cascading effects in Switzerland. As part of the ‘serious game’ participants will get the chance to play the role of a cantonal emergency command and to respond to various climate-related hazards and manage their impacts. This exercise is used in Switzerland to train regional emergency command teams.
