FRAIMwork - Vertical greening

FRAIMwork focuses on quantifying the carbon sink strength, water-use efficiency, and air-quality impacts of green wall vegetation under contrasting environmental conditions. 

The objective is to understand how environmental and microclimatic factors, such as light, water availability, and temperature, affect plant functioning, and to provide stakeholders with benchmark data identifying the most resilient and high-performing plant species. Measurements and analyses are conducted at multiple sites across the EU and will be integrated with soil-plant-atmosphere modeling to estimate annual carbon and water budgets. 

This project is embedded in a Horizon Europe project that aims to improve green wall installations across Europe.
