The Alpine Forest Genomics Network (AForGeN) connects researchers using genetic and genomic approaches to study alpine forest ecosystems. Among others, it has published the reference genome sequence of silver fir (Abies alba). The network regularly gathers in a remote, mountainous region to discuss past activities and future projects. The 10th AForGeN meeting will take place in Tenna, Safiental, Switzerland and will be organized by WSL.
