What if there is a megadrought in the Swiss Alps? What if there is less rain and snow in the mountain peaks?
Following four rivers from their Alpine sources to the seas, the exhibtion explores impacts of megadroughts in the water towers of Europe. In an immersive video installation Echoes of Drought imagines possible futures, tracing cascading effects across water bodies, species webs and human systems.
Combining climate modeling and speculative design the exhibiton reveals interdependencies across systems and scales and underlines the role of water in shaping Europe's future.
