WSL Seminar Series Talk:
The NGO's guide on pushing agrifood giants - leveraging research, action, lobbying and litigation for corporate climate accountability
by Dr. Niels Debonne, Milieudefensie (Friends of the Earth), Netherlands
Abstract ¶
As control over food systems consolidates among a handful of multinationals, corporate climate accountability in the agrifood sector has become essential to securing a livable future. Drawing from frontline work with Milieudefensie (Friends of the Earth NL), I will discuss the strategies and tools we use, ranging from research to street action and from lobbying to litigation, and I will reflect on the role science can play to reinforce NGO tactics.
