I investigate how climate change, natural disturbances, and forest management influence the resilience of mountain forests and the ecosystem services they provide. My research combines field observations, dendroecology, and modelling approaches to better understand forest dynamics and support sustainable management of protective forests in mountain regions.

Before joining WSL, I worked as a practicing forester. This experience continues to shape my research and motivates close collaboration with forest managers, practitioners, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
