My research interests span sociology, environmental studies and public policy, focusing on loss as a fundamental experience of modernity, social change, social networks, human-environment relations, behaviour and governance. Drawing on a background in economic and environmental sociology, as well as social policy, I engage in a broad range of social research, including policy and governance analyses as well as evaluation research, using both qualitative and quantitative methods. My approach is grounded in sociological theory while remaining open to innovative interdisciplinary perspectives. I aim to advance our understanding of social phenomena while translating scientific insights into meaningful action.
