GAIA's annual meeting will take place on Friday, 10 and Saturday, 11 April 2026. It will address the question:
How can scientific institutions and organisations contribute to more effective scaling of innovations for sustainability transformation?
The annual meeting is being organised by two research institutes of the ETH Domain as host institutions: Empa – the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology – and Eawag – the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology. It will take place on their joint Empa/Eawag campus in Dübendorf near Zurich. We look forward to welcoming you!
Below you will find further information on the programme and a link to the registration/cancellation form. Participation is free of charge. Participants are responsible for their own hotel accommodation and travel expenses.

Program ¶
The programme for the annual meeting on Friday afternoon includes keynote speeches on the conference topic and three breakout sessions, as well as the GAIA-Awards ceremony. On Saturday morning, a workshop will focus on the opportunities and risks of AI in the evaluation of GAIA articles. Finally, GAIA internal reports will be presented.
