Central laboratory ¶

The Central Laboratory of WSL (Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research) supports research as a central point of contact for precise analyses and reliable measurements. Our interdisciplinary team works with modern laboratory technologies and solid scientific expertise to support the various research units in the best possible way.

We place great emphasis on the quality and traceability of our results. Selected analyses are performed using accredited testing methods. The Central Laboratory is accredited in accordance with the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and the Swiss standard SN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018.

In addition to our activities in research and services, we are also committed to education and training and offer an apprenticeship programme for laboratory technicians in the field of chemistry.
