Towards forest quality assessment using remote sensing

The project aims to comprehensively assess the quality and health of forest ecosystems using advanced remote sensing technology based on multiple source remote sensing data. Specifically, this project will employ innovative methods for forest type classification, forest growth assessment method development to access forest carbon, forest gap detection and the light regime estimation, forest vertical structure complexity analysis, forest edge quantification and characterization, and finally forest quality assessment.
