Research Interests

Forest Ecology | Agroforestry | Agroecology
Plant Physiology | Soil Biogeochemistry | Biological Control

I am passionate about research and development of resilient perennial systems in forests and agroecosystems. My work focuses on climate adaptation, maintaining ecological balance, and understanding biogeochemical processes above and below ground in order to facilitate the transition towards sustainable and economically viable natural resource production systems.

Research at WSL

I am pursuing my PhD within the DeepDrought project (link below). The research focuses on forest ecophysiological responses to drought, including soil vegetation atmosphere transport models, in order to assess deep soil water availability to a range of tree species and site conditions, whilst forecasting climate impact.
