The Swiss Permafrost Monitoring Network documents the state and changes of mountain permafrost in the Swiss Alps since the year 2000, based on field data of permafrosttemperature, changes in ground ice content, and rock glacier velocity measured at ca. 20 sites in the Swiss Alps. PERMOS is carried by seven academic partner institutions. Data and results are regularly published and openly available. This project concerns the operation and defined foci of the PERMOS Network during the 4-year period 2023-2026.
