Ecological communities and interactions are continuously reshaped by temporal processes operating across multiple scales, including diurnal, seasonal, and phenological cycles. Despite their fundamental role in structuring biodiversity, these temporal dimensions remain insufficiently integrated into ecological and biodiversity research. Understanding biodiversity through time poses an urgent challenge that requires stronger interdisciplinary exchange across ecosystems, taxa, and methodological approaches beyond research institutes.
This symposium aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for early career researchers to present, discuss, and connect novel research on temporal biodiversity dynamics across aquatic and terrestrial habitats. By bringing together researchers working on diverse temporal scales and biological systems, the symposium will foster new perspectives and collaborations that advance a more integrated understanding of biodiversity patterns across the living world.
