I am a researcher with expertise in forestry and ecology in a changing climate. At WSL/SLF I work within the Climate Change, Extremes, and Natural Hazards in Alpine Regions Research Centre CERC, where I simulate potential future forest dynamics under a range of climate, forest management and disturbance scenarios. Previously, I worked at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission as a policy-support for various initiatives related to environmental directives. Until recently I worked at the University of Helsinki modeling the impact of climate change on European forests and their services. I obtained a PhD in palaeoecology at EPFL where I reconstructed the climate of Europe over the last 12,000 years.
