Main research interests: Local adaptation, landscape genomics, population genomics, and population genetics of alpine plants and forest trees.

I am scientific staff member and senior researcher in research group Ecological Genetics and involved in various projects dealing with environmental adaptation of plants. We are interested if and how plants are genetically adapted to local environmental conditions, and how species and populations will deal with ongoing and future habitat alterations like climate change or heavy-metal contamination.

I am looking for a master student investigating the environmental drivers of distribution and admixture of sympatric white oak species (Quercus spp.) at very small spatial scale.
