Research interests
I am passionate about evolutionary biology and plant speciation, in particular about the genetic basis of adaptive processes taking place in natural populations. During my PhD, I was lucky to study the fascinating Alpine fern species Botrychium, which are very old vascular plant lineages that alternatively mix several successful mating systems such as gametophytic selfing and rampant allopolyploidy.
Currently, I am a postdoc researcher in Felix Gugerli’s research group (Ecological Genetics), working on two exciting projects, GenTree and PiCadapt, in which I especially focus on the adaptive genetic variation of tree species in response to environmental changes. In the context of global warming, we are interested in better understanding the adaptive potential of species and populations in various sensitive habitats (e.g. alpine, high latitude) at regional and continental scale.
